Shuhei Mizuno was born in Kariya city, Aichi Prefecture. His career as a jazz pianist started during his college days.
As a performer, Shuhei plays mainly in Nagoya city in Aichi Prefecture, both with his own trio and the C.U.G. Jazz Orchestra, and also co-starring with many musicians.
As a composer and arranger, Shuhei provides many compositions for C.U.G. (Continued in the UnderGround) Jazz Orchestra and so on. During the 2001 U.S. tour of C.U.G. Jazz Orchestra, his compositions received much praise.
He is a part-time instructor at the Nagoya College of Music.
Shuhei released 3 piano solo albums; ‘Rainbow Touch’ in 2005, ‘Namae ha Mada Nai(No Name Yet)’ volumes 1 and 2, in 2015.
He formed his own jazz big band ‘Shuhei Mizuno Big Band’ in 2016, which is dedicated to playing Shuhei’s compositions.
Shuhei Mizuno is pursuing musical expression through big band at this time.
