Born in 1973, Nagoya.
Influenced by his father, KOJI began classical piano training at the age 4. He devoted himself into Jazz piano and started playing at Jazz clubs while he attended Nanzan University as a pre-law major. KOJI started to release original albums every year since 2002, and in 2004, he participated in the KIMIKO ITO’s (vo) album “Once You Have Been in Love”(2004/VIDEOARTS MUSIC) produced by MAKOTO OZONE for 4 songs. He gradually developed his carrier year after year. In 2007, having Harvey Mason (dr) as a producer, KOJI recorded a trio album “hope” in New York with Larry Grenadier (b), Brad Mehldau’s right hand and the album created a big buzz. Jazz vocalists has a greater respect for KOJI and he participated in many of their albums. KOJI often plays with classical musicians, his sixth album “KOJI GOTO Solo Concert with Strings”(2009/ SOKENBISYA) was recorded in the live with classical musicians at the MUNETSUGU hall.
In March 2015, Koji released a solo piano album “La Rencontre” , consisted of mostly his originals pieces.
KOJI has many appearances on TV advertisements and radio programs as a radio personality. Based in Nagoya, Japan, as a composer and Jazz pianist, he maintains a vigorous schedule for performances both domestically and internationally.
